Core transition to OASIS TC Update

  • Core TC page launched and call for participation
  • First TC meeting is November 12th, then every other week.
  • Plan for current Core WG will become “Core V2 maintenance” and be an offline WG, vote on mailing list and raise issues on mailing list, etc.
    • Nov 6 - reg WG (this meeting) – review which specs will go to OASIS
      • New Action’s spec – target SDO and it needs to be on 2.0 timeline.
        • Appendix A – Common properties – Target SDO - OASIS – added to list
        • Discussion on what can be transferred from OASIS TCs to W3C WGs, need better guidance on this and Arnaud/Steve to research this.
        • General agreement on what should go to OASIS, which should target W3C (or similar such as IETF) and which should just stay here until demand says otherwise.
    • Nov 12 - OASIC-TC - 1st TC meeting (review specs targeted for OASIS)
    • Nov 20 - reg WG - vote on move of specs to TC and agreement on working off-line to maintain 2.0 specs
    • Nov ~28 - OASIS-TC - vote on using Core 3.0 drafts as starting point for OASIS work
    • Reviewed these timeframes and agreed on this approach.

Auto-WG Exposing arbitrary actions and long running jobs, UPDATE - JohnA

  • Positioned question about which namespace to use. WG agrees to just reuse Core for these reasons: a) it is only a handful of terms b) adding more namespace prefixes clutters items c) the new terms fit in naturally. It was discussed if there may need to be more actions added and agreed that these would be best in domain namespaces.
