I would like to inform you all who are working for OSLC :) We have been working with idea to build “unified” Open source ALM platform. Now we are going to release it as alpha version. There we present also first tryouts to integrate also OSLC service for our setup. We will provide more information later this year.

All work is done with students and members of SkyNEST project at JAMK Finland (http://jamk.fi/). We are part of Finnish Cloud software consortium http://www.cloudsoftwareprogram.org/

Please look for more information in http://freenest.org

There is lot of work still to do:) But we try to progress little by little..

Funded research project on SDLC tool integration - kind request to support by answering a neutral online survey on tools usage (no marketing/spam)

Dear Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration members

pliXos and the Department of Software and Systems Engineering at the Technische Universität München cooperate within the research project “Global Bus Software” – GloBuS” to develop an
independent project bus, which allows the effective integration of the currently most important and most widely used tools in the market for software development with the pliXos products.

In this regard we are undertaking a neutral analysis of the actual situation and sought after improvements from a users perspective.
Your honest input would be highly appreciated!

The anonymous online survey is provided by Google Docs at: http://goo.gl/Uv723

You may tick to get the final results later on.

Further information of the funded research project can be found at:

Feel free to contact me in case of any further questions.

The new OSLC Software page: see what you can integrate using OSLC

With input, support , and hard work from members of the Communications workgroup, we’ve put a new spin on how we present the software that can be integrated using OSLC. We think the result is more useful to users, and providing a better picture of what can be integrated (and what people are integrating) using OSLC:
http://open-services.net/software/

While still a work in progress, we hope you (and everyone you share it with) can draw value from it all the same.
While still a work in progress, and in the spirit of continuous improvement, please comment below:
Do you like it? Do you hate it?
Do you see a problem? Do you see a solution?

W3C Community Group Infrastructure trial update

Hello OSLC Community Members,

As part of the preparations to support the W3C Community Group trial, we analyzed all aspects of the infrastructure. This meant reviewing their hardware/software setup, reviewing the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) documents, and making a detailed assessment of the overall migration effort. During our review of the IPR policies, We discovered that we would have to add more agreements (onto OSLC’s and W3C’s current ones) that would have negatively impacted the ability to join OSLC and participate in specification development. We strive to keep barrier to entry low at OSLC following on our principles of minimal process and specification. We will keep the specification development efforts on open-services.net for now. We are still exploring options for future collaboration with the W3C Community Group Team

Regards,
Kartik
