OSLC PLM Workgroup Working Meeting July 19 07 11

Attendees: Gray, Rainer, Nick, Mike.David, Steve, Franck

1. Update on the PLM Reference model release package
No updates this week other than applying it

2. Update on RIO/Lyo
Sandbox activity underway.

Gray to ask Jim for an update from the issues uncovered

3. Application and extension of the reference model
Plan Story 2 build out later in August.

Detailed use case development of the main scenario, find on the main PLM Scenarios page for now

New scenario underway to precede the existing scenario, Product change manager assigns product context to Change Request

4. Responding to new OSLC Specs and concepts being published

Nick gave an overview of initiative around product line engineering. Material below.

This is consistent with the above new scenario in tha Nick proposes a focus on product resources.

2 approaches were discussed

- one where a single resource provides the product servics inc identity, versions, configuration based upon the query attribute

- another where three resources to align with the well known PLM model or product, product version and product view deinition (config)

We will discuss and explore further.

The workgroup proposes to continue evolving the needed PLM behaviour and then pass over to existing workgroups, especially Core.

Mike proposes a version history resource, whihc he hopes to document.

Rainer raised the topic of the rules which need to be exposed around the ALM-PLM Project to Product mapping
