1. Action Item Review

Everyone should review Act 3 and post comments to the mailing list.

No comments were posted. We interpret silence as agreement in this case.

Everyone should review the WBS discussion and post comments to the mailing list.

No comments. More work is needed.

ArthurRyman to edit the main EMS 1.0 spec, adding descriptions of all the anticipated properties.

ArthurRyman has started this and we'll discuss it below.

AndyBerner will clarifiy his concerns about Scenario versus Estimate and post his comments on the mailing list.

AndyBerner summarized his concerns on the mailing list. He provided a detailed series of examples. We discussed this in the meeting and clarified his concerns. The summary is that a Scenario describes a set of input constraints or assumptions, and an Estimate contains the output predicted values of one or more metrics based on the Scenario.

AndyBerner summarized the resolution on the mailing list.

2. Implementation Status - all

ArthurRyman - Rational is continuing to develop a prototype of the service using the Jazz Foundation. So far the team has not found any feature of the service that is problematic to implement. The only area requiring additional development effort is the proposed simple query syntax.

3. Primer Status - ArthurRyman

No issues or concerns about Act 3. Execution have been raised on the mailing list. We'll declare it DONE.

Further work on the Primer will be deferred until the first draft of the REST API specification is complete.

4. WBS Scenarios and Requirements Discussion - all

We did not discuss Work Breakdown Structures. Further discussion is required. This will be deferred until the REST API spec catches up with the Primer.

5. REST API Status - ArthurRyman

ArthurRyman has started drafting the REST API. He reorganized the wiki and eliminated the obsolete topics. The specification will be divided into the following documents:

We began the review of the REST API. The following topics were reviewed. No issues were raised:

  • Architecture
  • HTTP Methods
  • The Role of RDF

6. Other Business

We are going to change the mode of operation of the workgroup to finalize the specification.

  1. ArthurRyman will draft the specification and announce to the mailing list when topics are ready for review.
  2. Working group members will review the topics and post comments to the mailing list.
  3. Any members may request a telecon to discuss any topic. We will use the regular Friday timeslot.
  4. Positive approval is required on the mailing list, i.e. silence does NOT equal agreement.
