Services that might be offered by a build system

These services were identified as desirable by the SCM workgroup, during elaboration of the ScmBuildIntegrationStory. They are noted here for possible future use by a new workgroup focusing on build services, as being important to complete a two-way integration story between SCM and build tools.

• Discover available build services
• Start a build in some given file system directory
• Get current build progress for a build that has not yet completed
• Get completed build status and results, including either copies of or references to output logs, possibly a list of built targets, etc.
