---++ Overview ---++ Publish The Submitter retrieves available asset types from the repository. The Submitter selects a type and retrieves required and optional metadata for the given type. After filling out the metadata, the Submitter publishes the asset to the repository. ---++ Search The Searcher can immediately search on a standard set of metadata, i.e. keywords, name, description, ID, etc. or select that they want to search for a certain type of asset. If a type is selected the Searcher retrieves the types from the repository, the Searcher selects the types and the system retrieves the possible metadata fields to search. The Searcher fills in the desired search information and the system submits the search. ---++ Retrieve The Consumer has already located an asset through Search, or another mechanism. The system sends the identifying information to the repository and also sends what information should be retrieved, i.e. all metadata except attachments, all related assets, etc.
